Barbados, Costa Rica Talk Cooperation

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - October 27, 2011

Barbados and Costa Rica are continuing to look toward expanding ties, from economic to environmental, and both countries are determined to build stronger relationships on those fronts, according to Barbados Industry Minister Denis Kellman.

“We are also hoping to create synergies with tourism, industry and other services,” said Kellman, who was speaking at a networking session for Barbadian and Costa Rican businesspeople in Bridgetown. “In the days ahead, we will be eager to find new business partners here and revitalise existing business relationships.”

The three-day trade mission, which ended yesterday, included government officials, members of the OECS and private and public sector stakeholders. The trip follows a similar mission to Panama.
