Popular New York City eatery Casa Nonna has made its Caribbean debut.
The Manhattan Theater District institution, which means “Grandmother’s House” in Italian, has officially opened at the Ritz-Carlton, Aruba.
The property has an upscale vibe meant to echo Venice of the 1950s, with round corner sofas, natural colors and rustic wallpaper.
The menu emphasizes classic Italian flavors, from salumi platters to a very strong wine list.
The chef is helmed by Chef de Cuisine Rollyn Angela Rosas.
“We make our own pasta and bread daily,” Rosas says. “Freshness, quality, simplicity and the reminders of home … that to me is Casa Nonna.”
