One of French St Martin’s venerable hotels is planning a partial reopening next month.

The boutique Hotel La Plantation in Orient Bay is targeting a reopening date of April 16, according to a statement from the property.

It’s one of the first hotels to reopen on the French side of the island, which has largely been offering a limited number of guest house and villa options for travelers.

La Plantation, which includes a small portfolio of suites, is set just a short walk from the sands of Orient Bay.

While Orient Bay is still in recovery, a number of the beach’s popular eateries have already reopened, including Le Piment, Le Table d’Antoine, Cote Plage, Little Italy, Le Petit Bistrot, La Rhumerie, Tai Chi and La Plantation’s on-site Cafe Plantation.
