The under-the-radar beach town of Juan Dolio in the Dominican Republic is getting a major new condominium-hotel project.

It’s called Terrazas de Juan Dolio, and the project will include a mix of luxury condos and hotel rooms.

Terrazas represents an investment of $40 million, according to a statement from the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism.

The high-rise tower is slated to make its debut in 2019.

The project’s amenities will include access to the beach club and golf course of the nearby Metro Country Club, along with two on-site restaurants and a spa.

Juan Dolio is about a 40-minute drive from the center of Santo Domingo, and about 20 minutes from Santo Domingo’s Las Americas International Airport.
