Rosewood Little Dix Bay Names New Executive Chef

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 10, 2017

Virgin Gorda’s Rosewood Little Dix Bay has announced the appointment of a new executive chef ahead of its planned reopening in December.

The property has appointed Chef Cupertino Ortiz to the role, in which he will be charged with creating new dining concepts and menus for each of Little Dix Bay’s three restaurants.

He comes to the resort after serving most recently as executive chef at Malliouhana, an Auberge Resort in Anguilla.

“With an extensive background in luxury hotels and a history with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Chef Ortiz is the perfect individual to lead Rosewood Little Dix Bay’s culinary team and its three exceptional restaurants,” said Andreas Pade, the newly-named managing director of Rosewood Little Dix Bay. “As we near completion on this groundbreaking renovation project, we look forward to watching Chef Ortiz create unique Sense of Place dining experiences for our guests that will celebrate the rich culinary culture of the BVIs.”
