A New Resort on the Island of Barbados

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - September 12, 2016

One of the Caribbean’s leading hotel companies has expanded with a new Barbados All-Inclusive Resort.

Elegant Hotels has officially debuted its new Waves Hotel & Spa, an all-inclusive on the Platinum Coast of Barbados with a focus on “mind and wellness,” according to the company.

And they’re serious about wellness: the all-inclusive package includes up to four spa treatments per guest per stay, depending on the room category booked and subject to a minimum length of stay.

Also included? Three rounds of golf at the Barbados South Coast Golf Club, including transfers and club; yoga and pilates and Wi-Fi, along with food and beverages, of course.

The hotel also offers a dine-around program giving guests the chance to eat meals at other Elegant Hotels properties in Barbados, reached by water taxi. (There’s also beach and pool “ambassador” service).

There are two restaurants: Mediterranean-inspired cuisine at Seascape, along with Asian fusion at Shiso, along with a coffee bar.

Elegant Hotels officially added the 70-room boutique hotel to its portfolio earlier this year, before launching what it termed an “Ibiza-meets-South Beach” renovation, a major new addition and already a leader among Barbados hotels, even as an all-inclusive.
