A New Ferry to Grand Bahama

Balearia has announced the launch of a new ferry serving the Fort Lauderdale-Grand Bahama route.

The new ship with larger capacity has replaced the existing fast ferry on the US-Bahamas route.

It’s called the Jaume 1, and it launched this week with some 500 passengers.

The ship has an overall capacity of 600, increasing daily capacity by two hundred.
