How to Travel to Tobago Right Now, For Less

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 20, 2016

It’s thought that the island on which Robinson Crusoe was shipwrecked was based on the island of Tobago.

And whether that’s true or not, you can still find your castaway paradise on this jewel of the southern Caribbean.

Several hotels on the island are offering special ways to stay for the summer that include serious savings.

The Blue Waters Inn, a popular dive resort in Tobago, is offering special summer rates for guests booking between June 30 and Sept. 1, with two nights for $343, three nights for $500 or five nights for $750 — all the rates include taxes, full breakfast and children under five stay free.

Another property, Rovanel’s Resort, set on a coconut-fringed park near some of Tobago’s most popular beaches, is offering rates as low as $130 per night for stays now through Aug. 31.

And then there’s the Bacolet Beach Club, one of the most picturesque hotels on the island, which is offering rooms starting as low as $190 per night.

If you’re looking to splurge, you can go for a superior penthouse deluxe room that’s discounted 21 percent from the high season rate.
