Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is expanding in Mexico.

The company has partnered with real estate development firm Irongate to build a luxury resort and private residences in Los Cabos.

The project, which is slated to open in 2018, will be the centerpiece of the 1,000-acre Costa Palmas resort community, which will include an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones II and a 250-slip deepwater marina.

The resort will be located on the Sea of Cortez, at the base of the Sierre de la Laguna mountains.
