Two of Marriott’s hotels in the Caribbean are for sale, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Courtyard Port of Spain in Trinidad and the Courtyard Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic are both listed for sale with CBRE Hotels.

The two are part of a three-hotel portfolio for sale that also includes the Courtyard By Marriott in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The Courtyard in Santo Domingo, which was built in 2003, has 145 guestrooms and four suites.

There is no set list price on the portfolio, as there will be a competitive bid process, according to CBRE.

Marriott has been expanding the Courtyard brand, most recently with a new project in Kingston, Jamaica.

Yesterday, Marriott announced that it would be acquiring Starwood Hotels and Resorts, making it the world’s largest hotel company.

CBRE’s Christian Charre, Paul Weimer and Natalie Castillo have the listing on the portfolio.

Charre is also leading the team marketing another Marriott hotel, the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort, which went on the market at the beginning of this year.
