Condado mainstay names new top official

La Concha Resort in San Juan’s Condado district has appointed Alain Tiphaine as its new General Manager.

In this new role, he will be responsible for all hotel operations, including the management and recruitment of employees, marketing and promotion, and budgeting, the property said.

Tiphaine joins La Concha with 27 years of experience in the hospitality industries across Central America, the Caribbean, and Puerto Rico, where he most recently served as General Manager of Villa Montana Beach Resort.

His background includes multiple leadership positions in the Puerto Rican tourism industry, including membership on the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau.

The hotel has also announced its promotion of Hermes Croatto to Director of Sales and Marketing, following his service as Associate Sales Director since 2011.
