Carnival Expanding Shore Offerings

Carnival Cruise Line is expanding its shore excursion offerings, with new exclusive landside experiences, customized private tours and additional enhancements for families, the company said this week.

With these additions, Carnival now offers nearly 1,200 landside experience in over 50 ports of call throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, Bahamas, Canada, New England, and Central and South America.

“Shore excursions are an important part of the Carnival vacation experience and we’ve gone to great lengths to provide our guests with even more choices and offer families unique value-added services and pricing options that are exclusive to Carnival,” said Erika Tache, Carnival’s director of product development.

New opportunities in Caribbean ports will allow guests access to luxurious private villas as well as unique activities that will connect them with local culture and cuisine.

Carnival’s new tours in the Caribbean include “La Casa en la Playa” and “Photo Safari & Beach Expedition” in Cozumel; “Eat, Drink & Dance” and “Jamaican Home for the Day” in Ocho Rios; and “Eat, Drink & Walk” in St. Thomas.

Other new family-friendly services and tours include Family Beach Escape in Freeport, Island Beach Escape for Families by Power Catamaran in Cozumel, Family Treasure Hunt with Lunch at Blue Bay.

The new excursions will provide extra assistance for families such as stroller storage services, and will offer a variety of fun programming for children, according to a release.
