Starwood is planning to debut a new W Hotel in the region, the company announced.
The W Panama is slated to open in 2017 near the Zona Rosa neighbourhood of Panama City.
“The hotel will be a perfect combination of sophistication, style and service based on the W Hotels brand’s signature philosophy Whatever/Whenever,” the company said in a release.
The 203-room hotel would include two restaurants, a W Living Room, a “destination nightclub,” a pool deck, a spa and an 8,400-square-foot fitness facility.
The move is part of a wider expansion in Panama for Starwood, which includes a luxury hotel in Panama City’s Costa del Este area called the Santa Maria, a Luxury Collection Hotel.
Starwood opened another new W in the region last year in Bogota.
