Turks and Caicos-based InterCaribbean Airways is set to launch a group of new flights around the region, the regional carrier announced.

The company has launched nonstop flights between Kingston and Port-au-Prince, Haiti beginning Dec. 3, along with new service between Port au Prince and Santo Domingo.

The latter service could provide a boost for a flight that has long lacked supply to meet demand on the island of Hispaniola.

“We are pleased to offer these new routes to give the more choices and more connectivity across the Caribbean and support Haiti as it grows its appeal to the vacation visitor, while facilitating new business opportunities,” said Trevor Sadler, CEO of InterCaribbean Airways. “We look forward to increasing the frequency and number of destinations we serve in the new year.”

InterCaribbean, formerly known as Air Turks and Caicos, operates on EMB 120 and BE99 aircraft across the northern Caribbean, the Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas.
