KLM is adding new flights to Curacao, the Dutch carrier announced Monday.

In addition to daily service from Amsterdam, KLM will add flights on Monday and Wednesday with a later departure at 2:15 PM.

The company said the expanded service came in response to a “growing market in Europe beyond Amsterdam especially in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, France, Sweden, Denmark and the United Kingdom.”

The new service was secured through collaboration between KLM and Curacao Airport Partners.

“KLM is a very important partner and with the celebration of 80 years of continued service to Curacao in December 2014, we are very pleased to have secured additional service in a joint effort during a year of celebration,” said Ralph Blanchard, CEO of Curacao Airport Partners. “We look forward to the launch of this service and will work together to ensure that these additional flights will become a success.”

The flights will be operated on an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

“Partnership and the destination of Curacao are crucial in our network and we appreciate the quick and efficient way we worked together with CAP in materializing the additional flights,” said Max Smits, general manager of KLM Dutch Caribbean, Greater Antilles & Surinam.
