The Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Jamaica is up for sale.

Global firm CBRE Hotels has been tapped to market the property, the brokerage announced.

“Montego Bay remains one of the Caribbean’s most popular, and beautiful, unspoiled natural environments,” said CBRE Hotels’ Christian Charre. “This is a rare opportunity for an owner to acquire an unencumbered asset in a destination where demand is rapidly growing.”

The property, located on the 18th century Rose Hall Plantation, has a total of 489 rooms on 1,800 feet of private beach.

Jamaica’s hotel market has seen growth so far in 2014, with a 26.3 percent improvement in RevPAR through February, according to CBRE.

The property has undergone $55 million in renovations since 2005.

CBRE said the new owner would have the choice to operate the resort with the Hilton brand, to re-affiliate to another brand or operate as an independent property.

Senior Vice President Christian Charre, vice president Paul Weimer and associate Natalie Castillo are CBRE’s Miami-based team marketing the hotel.
