Jamaica’s Bobsleigh Team has unveiled its new uniforms for Sochi, as the group readies for the start of competition on Sunday.

The group, which had been struggling just to fund expenses to travel for competitions, has seen a groundswell of support and funding from around the world.

The uniforms were designed and sponsored by Puma, which is a major sponsor for Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.

Puma has had a relationship with the Jamaica Olympic Association since 2002.

In a release, the company said it would be providing both the official competition wear, opening ceremony wear and, if things work out well, podium wear.

The team has already begun training in Sochi.

“Good training runs on track earlier today,” the team wrote on its Facebook page. “We’re happy we made it to #Sochi2014 and excited to compete Sunday #OchitoSochi,” using the local term for Jamaica’s Ocho Rios.

Just how far the team can go remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: the Jamaican bobsleigh team is one of the more popular groups in the Olympic Games this year.
