The Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort has named French-born Chef Denis Jaricot its new executive chef.

Jaricot, who was born and educated in Lyon, has worked at resorts across the Caribbean, including the Sandals Regency La Toc in St Lucia and the Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic, among others.

“We believe Chef Jaricot’s credentials will be a valuable asset to the Magdalena Grand food and beverage operation,” said John Murphy, principal, efm Hospitality Solutions, operator of Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort.  “Having experience in all facets of the industry, Chef Jaricot demonstrates he is capable of taking our restaurant operation to the next level,” he continued.”

Jaricot will be overseeing a team of 57 kitchen and stewarding staff, and will be respondible for all food production in the property’s restaurants, banquet functions and other outlets.

The Magdalena Grand has seven restaurants and bars, led by the Salaka Grill restaurant.
