Regional carrier Cape Air will be launching its new service from San Juan to Culebra, Puerto Rico and Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands beginning Feb. 15.

The service will include four daily flights between San Juan and Culebra and three daily flights between San Juan and Virgin Gorda.

“This is an exciting time for Cape Air, we are providing our customers with greater schedule options and access to more destinations throughout the Caribbean and the new service will benefit travelers and locals alike,” said Linda Markham, President of Cape Air, in a release. “Cape Air keeps building a strong foundation as it continues to invest in its future by adding more planes to its fuel-efficient fleet,” Markham said.

Cape Air recently took delivery of three Britten Norman Islander BN-20 planes which the company said were “specifically suited” for the short runways in markets like Culebra and Virgin Gorda.

“We look forward to continue working together with Cape Air in our goal to give travelers more options and stimulate the economic development of the tourism industry,” said Ingrid Rivera Rocafort, executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.
