St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzi Douglas held talks in France this week on a proposed bilateral economic development agreement between the two countries.

Douglas met with several members of the French Senate during a visit to Paris to discuss ways the two countries could collaborate in “strengthening relationships through a number of strategic and practical measures,” according to a statement.

Douglas also held a meeting with France’s non-resident Ambassador to CARICOM and the OECS, Fred Constant, to discuss ways to partner on the development of hospitality services for young people from St Kitts and Nevis and on the twin-island federation’s geothermal development, among others topics.

Douglas was joined on the trip by High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Dr Kevin Isaac and Dr David Doyle, Honorary Consul of St Kitts and Nevis in Paris.
