Auberge Resorts expects to open most of the renovated Malliouhana Hotel & Spa in Anguilla by February 2014, Anguilla’s Tourist Board announced at a briefing at the CTO State of the Industry Conference in Martinique.

The project includes a full-scale renovation of Malliouhana’s 55 rooms, as well as a 15,000-square-foot spa.

The hotel has already appointed hospitality veteran John Vasatka, a veteran of Aman Resorts in the Caribbean and Thailand, as its general manager. The Malliouhana has been closed since 2011.

Auberge Resorts’ portfolio includes the Auberge du Soleil in California’s Napa Valley and the Hotel Jerome in Aspen.
