Dutch Security Minister Visiting Aruba, Saba and St Eustatius

Dutch Security and Justice Minister Ivo Opstelten is on a four-day visit to the Caribbean, with stops in Aruba, Saba and St Eustatius this week.

In Aruba, Opstelten will be consulting with the Justice Ministers of Aruba, Curacao and St Maarten, preceded by a working visit to Saba and St Eustatius.

The talks will cover issues including police cooperation, the prison system and the coast guard, according to a statement from the government of the Netherlands.

In Saba, the Minister will be meeting with Governor Jonathan Johnson and members of the Executive Council.

His visit to St Eustatius will include talks with Governor Gerald Berkel and that island’s executive council.
