Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe has reshuffled the country’s Cabinet and replaced several ministers, he announced Tuesday night.

It follows a similar reshuffle by Lamothe in early August, when Haiti’s government announced six new portfolios. Lamothe added the Planning and External Cooperation Ministry during that shakeup.

The earlier reshuffled was aimed at “reframing government action,” Lamothe said at the time.

The biggest change was in the Interior Ministry, where David Bazile replaced Ronsard St Cyr.

St Cyr himself was relatively new in the Interior Ministry, replacing former Minister Thierry Mayard-Paul in August.

The new Cabinet is as follows, aside from Lamothe, who retains the Planning and External Cooperation Ministry: Foreign Ministry, Pierre Richard Casimir; Justice Minister; Jean Renel Sanon; Economy and Finance Minister, Jean Marie Marie Carmelle; Jacques Rousseau, Public Works Minister; Tourism Minister, Stephanie Villedrouin; Vanneur Pierre, Minister of Education; Duperval Guillaume, National Education and Vocational Training Minister; Florence Duperval Guillaume, Public Health and Population Minister.

Lamothe also named Josette Darguste, Haiti’s Director General of Tourism, as Minister of Culture; Godefroy Regine was named Minister of Communications, replacing Ady Jean Gardy; Yanick Mezile was appointed Minister for the Status of Women and Women’s Rights; Jean Rodolphe Joazile as Minister of Defence.

Magalie Racine was appointed Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action; Jean Francois Thomas as Minister of the Environment; Fidelia Bernice as Minister of Haitians Living Abroad; Ralph Theano as Minister Delegate for the Prime Minister for relations with Parliament.

Mimose Felix Marie was appointed as Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Peasantry; and Rene Jean-Jumeau as Minister Delegate for the Prime Minister for Energy Security.

Anne Marie Carmelle Auguste was retained as Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Human Rights and the Fight Against Extreme Poverty.

Mimose Felix Marie was appointed Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister to promote the peasantry, and Rene Jean-Jumeau was appointed Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Energy Security.
