Jimmy Cliff Highlights List of Nominees for Best Reggae Album Grammy

Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff leads a slate of nominees for best reggae album at the upcoming Grammy Awards.

Cliff’s Rebirth (which he talked about with Caribbean Journal earlier this year is one of five albums nominated, including:

Miracle by the Original Wailers, Sean Paul’s Tomahawk Technique, Sly & Robbie & The Jam Masters’ New Legend – Jamaica 50th Edition and Reggae Got Soul: Unplugged on Strawberry Hill by Toots and the Maytals.

Last year’s award was won by Stephen Marley for his album, Revelation Pt. 1: The Root of Life.

This year’s Grammys will take place Feb. 10 in Los Angeles.
