Saint Lucia’s Cap Maison Hotel Has a New Guest Chef Series

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 24, 2022

For year’s it’s been Saint Lucia’s top culinary-focused hotel: Cap Maison, the boutique resort set at the northern tip of Saint Lucia.

The resort is home to the island’s best wine program, and anchored by the world-class Cliff at Cap restaurant, one that regularly finds itself around the top of the region’s restaurant rankings.

Now Cap Maison has added another reason for gourmet-focused travelers to visit: a new Guest Chef Series for 2023.

The program has announced that two-time MasterChef Canada alumnus and finalist Marissa Leon-John is the first confirmed name in the series, which takes place at the Cliff at Cap.

“I am absolutely thrilled and honoured by the invitation to Cap Maison,” Leon-John said. “Showcasing my culinary skills in Saint Lucia has long been a dream of mine.  I look forward to collaborating with chef Craig Jones, in what will surely be a delicious mashup of Canadian and Caribbean delights.”

Cap Maison is one of the leading hotels in Saint Lucia.

That will begin with a series of dinners Jan. 6-7 at Cap Maison, part of a broader lineup of internationally-renowned chefs visiting the hotel in 2023.

“The relaunch of the new Guest Chef Series marks an exciting time for Cap Maison, following the recent refurbishment of both our restaurants, The Cliff at Cap and The Naked Fisherman,” said Ross Stevenson, general manager at Cap Maison. “Previous Guest Chef series have proved very popular, and this year, we are delighted to welcome another impressive line-up of chefs, who will each showcase their culinary skills. The combination of exceptional food and wine with our stunning location, will make for a truly memorable, not to be missed experience.”
