Couples Resorts to Debut New Look at Jamaica All-Inclusive

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - October 7, 2022

Couples Resorts is set to relaunch one of its signature all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica this year following a major renovation.

The company is nearing completion of a $12 million renovation project of its Couples Sans Souci resort in Ocho Rios, with an official relaunch of Dec. 1.

The 150-suite resort reopened in August after completing much of its upgrade work, which includes a new restaurant, upgraded spa facilities and a number of enhancements to the rooms, from large walk-in showers to terrace tubs on certain penthouse units.

“In virtually every respect, the resort will be new,” explained Abe Issa, President of Sales and Marketing at Couples Resorts. “We’ve taken exceptional care to ensure that the renovation perfectly complements the resort’s uniquely beautiful location, which features a serene crescent beach, lush tropical gardens, and a natural mineral spring pool.”

The resort has also added new culinary concepts, including Java, a coffee bar near the lobby; and a new Asian-inspired dining outlet.

That’s along with a new massage hut near the Lily Pond, upgraded spa gazebos and a new open-kitchen concept.

A new-look suite.

“The renovation schedule was carefully planned to have very little, if any, impact on the Couples Sans Souci experience,” Issa said. “Restaurants, bars, pools and premium dining options remain plentiful, as well as our included and extensive list of land and water activities and island excursions. As of August 1, the majority of public spaces are open and operational, including the main swim-up bar, Beach Grill, Veggie Bar, Martini Bar, and Sunset Beach Bar, Palazzina, Bella Vista, Sunset Beach Grill, and in-suite dining. Spa and salon services, as well as gym and fitness facilities are available, along with multiple pools, including Couples Sans Souci’s famous Mineral Spa, Main Pool, Grotto and the au naturel Sunset Beach pool.”

The resort is perhaps most famous as one of the filming locations for the James Bond film “Live and Let Die” starring Roger Moore.
