The popular Hotel Esencia on the Riviera Maya of Mexico is expanding, Caribbean journal has learned.
The Hotel Esencia is adding a new villa to the property: the Esencia Mansion, slated to open its doors in September 2022.
The 12,000-square-foot vila will have four interconnected en-suite bedrooms, a fitness studio, three pools, an entertainment terrace, a screening room and even an underground speakeasy.
The villa is positioned as a second “Main House” for test hotel, designed by New York-based Giancarlo Valle.
It’s “designed to be shrouded by nature, providing ultimate privacy and seclusion,” the property says, set just steps from the Xpu Ha beach and a sheltered tennis court.
The Hotel Esencia was initially built as the home of an Italian duchess, with 45 suites on a 50-acre estate between Tulum and Playa del Carmen.
