Apple Leisure Group Names New VP for Development

Apple Leisure Group has named a new Vice President of Development to lead its expansion push. 

The company has tapped Sergio Gascon, who will be based in Mexico City, for the role, in which he will “spearhead efforts to establish and bolster relationships within the Institutional investment management firms in Mexico and the Caribbean, including pension funds, endowments, and other institutional investors that seek to deploy capital across Latin America and Caribbean in luxury all-inclusive resorts,” according to the company. 

ALG, which is now part of Hyatt, has been rapidly expanding its all-inclusive portfolio in the Caribbean and Mexico in particular. 

“Offering the highest levels of expertise remains our number one priority, especially as the all-inclusive sector continues to grow and become even more competitive,” said Javier Coll, Group President of Global Business Development and Innovation at ALG. “Adding an financial investment industry veteran like Sergio, who has such strong ties to the Latin American investment community, reinforces our long-term goal of increasing our global footprint. We are proud to welcome him into the ALG family.”

Gascon will report to Javier Coll, group president of global business development and innovation at Apple Leisure Group. 

Before joining ALG, Gascon spent 10 years in top leadership roles at GE Real Estate.
