IHG Hotels and Resorts is set to debut its newest hotel brand in Mexico.

The company will unveil its first two voco [sic] hotels in the country later this year, with locations in Guadalajara and Saltillo.

The signings “mark the introduction of the voco hotels upscale hospitality brand to the Mexico market,” and likely pave the way for Caribbean locations at some point.

The voco Guadalajara will open in late 2022, occupying five floors of the Neruda 2828 mixed-use tower in Guadalajara.

The voco Saltillo is slated to open in 2023, a hotel by American Hotels Group.

There are a total of 31 voco properties around the world.

“voco hotels maintain the local character and history of an independent hotel, paired with the quality and reassurance of a respected global brand. Guadalajara and Saltillo are the ideal locations to introduce our newest and fastest-growing premium brand to Mexico, and we are thrilled to partner with Vertex Ophthalmic Group and American Hotels Group to make these two properties a reality,” said German Ongay, regional Vice President for development in Mexico at IHG.
