Residence Inn by Marriott Opens in Playa del Carmen

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - October 20, 2021

There’s another new Marriott on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.

The world’s largest hotel company has opened its newest property in Mexico, the Residence Inn by Marriott Playa del Carmen.

The property is set in a prime location on the Federal Highway Cancun in Chetumal; it’s the third Residence Inn in Mexico.

The 149-room hotel has amenities including a pool, a 24-hour Market, a mobile app, a fitness center and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.

“Cancun and Playa del Carmen continue to be top destination choices for national and international travelers visiting Mexico. The region has become an aviation hub attracting top-of-the-line tourism and hospitality investments, a key driver in the growth of the region. Previously, there were no longer-stay hotel options in the area, so our new hotel comes just at the right time,” said Arturo Cruz, Sales Director of Residence Inn by Marriott Playa del Carmen.

It’s the second Residence Inn to debut in the Mexican Caribbean this year.

At the beginning of 2021, Marriott opened a new Residence Inn in Cancun.
