How to Visit Turks and Caicos Right Now

By: Alexander Britell - April 5, 2021

The Turks and Caicos Islands officially reopened for tourism last summer, one of the first destinations in the Caribbean to do so.

Since then, the destination has become one of the region’s most sought-after vacation options amid the pandemic, combining a safe reopening with the TCI’s built-in space and social distancing — particularly its world-famous beaches.

So how do you go about visiting the Turks and Caicos?

First, all visitors must show proof of a negative PCR test result taken and received no more than 5 days before your scheduled date of arrival. (Children under the age of 10 are exempt from this requirement(.

You also need to show proof of insurance that includes COVID coverage.

Next, all visitors need to apply for a Travel Authorization, called the TCI Assured Program. (you can find it here).

Once you’ve been approved, you need to bring your authorization to the check-in at the airport when you arrive. Without it, you cannot travel to Turks and Caicos.

So what’s happening on the island?

That means luxury resorts like The Shore Club, The Palms, Grace Bay Club, Point Grace and all-inclusive options like the Blue Haven Resort and Beaches Turks and Caicos.
