Aruba, St John Trending Vacation Rental Destinations

Aruba and the US Virgin Islands are seeing surging interest for vacation rentals right now, according to a new report from HometoGo. 

The vacation rental portlal’s internal search and booking data showed significant year-over-year jumps in interest, with Aruba seeing a 2,298-percent jump and St John, USVI showing a 665 percent increase compared to the same time last year. 

Indeed, Aruba saw the single-biggest jump in interest of any destination on the platform, according to the report. 

“Many of the search and booking trends we’re noticing for 2021 are driven by the ongoing pandemic,” said Caroline Burns, who leads communications for the U.S. and U.K. at HometoGo. “Additionally, HomeToGo has noticed an uptick in searches for aspirational bucket list-worthy destinations, whether it be the beautiful beaches of Aruba or food haven of Naples, Italy – showing that even though access may be limited right now, the world’s most beautiful, sought-after destinations continue to captivate consumers.”
