Sandy Lane Resort Reopens in Barbados

By: Alexander Britell - November 8, 2020

The most legendary resort in Barbados is officially open once again, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The celebrated Sandy Lane resort on the island’s Platinum Coast officially reopened at the beginning of the month.

Long a celebrity favorite, the luxe resort has a total of 113 rooms and suites, along with one signature five-bedroom villa.

The property, which first opened its doors back in 1961,  is set on 1,000 feet of beachfront on the western coast of the island.

It’s home to three golf courses: the Country Club Course, the Old Nine and the resort’s flagship track, the Green Monkey.

“We have officially reopened,” the property confirmed.

Barbados first reopened for tourism in July.

Last week, the island announced another update to its protocols, which currently include a requirement of a negative PCR test result within three days before arrival to Barbados and a second test four to five days after arrival.
