The Most Exciting New Hotel in Jamaica Is Open

By: Alexander Britell - November 2, 2020

The most exciting new hotel to launch in Jamaica in years is open and welcoming guests, Caribbean Journal has learned.

Eclipse at Half Moon, the major new luxury resort set at the island’s iconic Half Moon resort, has relaunched.

The property had just opened prior to the onset of the pandemic, and on Nov. 1 began welcoming guests once again.

“Half Moon is a preferred destination for discerning travelers, who seek the luxury of space and privacy,” Guy Steuart, Chairman of Half Moon, told Caribbean Journal. “Along with our meticulous health and safety protocols, thoughtfully designed accommodations, and luxury amenities, our team is looking forward to providing their award-winning service that will ensure our guests have either found or rediscovered their perfect getaway.”

The luxury resort has a total of 57 rooms, along with a centerpiece infinity pool; seven bars and restaurants and a natural swimming cove, among other amenities.

Guests have access to all of the amenities on the Half Moon campus.

Half Moon had reopened its Rose Hall Villas resort in early June; those remain open, as does the property’s signature Robert Trent Jones-designed golf course, often dubbed the “Caribbean Augusta.”

Half Moon’s Founders Cove resort, along with its signature Sugar Mill restaurant, will be reopening Dec. 15, a spokesperson for the property said.

Jamaica has been open for tourism since mid-June. You can find more on the island’s travel protocols here.
