Antigua’s Top Restaurant Is Open Again

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 7, 2020

Sheer Rocks, the most celebrated restaurant on the island of Antigua, is open again.

The Ffryes Beach-area hotspot officially reopened its doors this week after having shifted to delivery and take-out during the lockdown.

“Sheer Rocks is designed perfectly to distance the guests and we are happy to give every table their own private pavilion over-looking the Caribbean Sea,” owner Alex Grimley told Caribbean Journal. “It’s harder for the staff, the restaurant is small, so we have had to designate areas and sections to each team member.  It’s an adjustment for sure.”

The eatery has made other adjustments, too, like sending out menus via WhatsApp or email ahead of guests’ visiting the restaurant.

“That way they can view them on their own devices and not have to share menus,” he said.

The eatery has also relaunched its “Pool Experiences,” (basically your own private pool party for the afternoon) with packages available for both its Rocks Pool and Plunge Pool (see above).

Sheer Rocks, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in November, was named number one on the 50 Best Caribbean Restaurants for 2020

Antigua and Barbuda officially reopened for tourism on June 4.
