One of the leading events on the Caribbean tourism agenda is coming back for another year, with the third annual Caribbean Hospitality and Tourism Summit in Miami.

The Aug. 1 Bisnow event, which is being presented by the Puerto Rico Builders’ Association, will focus on a range of topics, from key trends for sustained growth and expansion in the Caribbean to a major spotlight on the investment climate in Puerto Rico.

The latter will include a look at the tax incentives and loopholes that Puerto Rico has implemented to help drive investment, including potential ways for investors to be 100 percent tax exempt.

Another major topic will be sustainable recovery efforts in the Caribbean region.

An impressive slate of speakers will include Brad Dean, CEO of Discover Puerto Rico; Adam Greenfader, managing partner of AG&T; Apple Leisure Group’s Fernando Fernandez and Juan Corvinos Solans, vice president for development at Hilton, among others.

The one-day summit will include feature panels and copious opportunities for networking and, more importantly, deal making.

“We will gather industry leaders and key stakeholders in the hospitality and tourism industries to discuss real estate development, future of tourism and local economies in the Caribbean,” organizers said in a statement.
