Nassau’s Palm Cay has broken ground on the new One Marina, a $100-million luxury and residential resort complex.

“One Marina” will have 84 two- and three-bedroom condominiums and penthouse complex with modern interior designs and high-end finishes.

“Not only are we here to make money for my shareholders, but we want to forge a really good partnership with the community,” said Bahamas Minister of Public Works, Desmond Bannister, who participated in the ground breaking ceremony this week. “We’re investing back in the community and our own resort.”

The project will include 24-hour security, a fitness center, a half-size Olympic swimming pool, boat tours, bike trail, children’s park, dockside cafe and beach bar and grill.

Bob Batchelor, Palm Cay’s Chief Executive Officer, called One Marina the company’s “most ambitious” project to date.

Designed by Winston Jones, it is expected to be completed by 2020.
