How to Arrive in Barbados

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - October 30, 2018

By Alexander Britell

It’s an issue at too many airports across the Caribbean — long immigration lines, meaning lengthy waits for travelers after they’ve just spent hours on an airplane.

And while some islands, like Aruba and Curacao, have come up with innovative ways to improve the experience, it remains a problem.

That’s where airport arrival services come in — pre-booked services that can often mean a breezy, seamless, ultra-short immigration experience that gets you where you want to be — out of the airport and on your way to your hotel.

One of our new favorites? Five Star Fast Track in Barbados, which gives travelers personalized, one-on-one assistance from the minute you get off the tarmac at Grantley Adams International Airport.

That means when you meet your greeter, you’ll be fast-tracked through a dedicated immigration line, helped to the baggage claim and then brought to a dedicated customs line.

On our recent trip, the greeter, Chad, even went ahead to begin our rental car process.

It’s a terrific experience, and if you’re planning a getaway to Barbados, the $59 is well worth it (kids 11 or younger are complimentary).

And yes, Five Star has other services like departure service and private transfers.

For more, visit Five Star Fast Track.
