Paris-based hotel giant AccorHotels has closed on its purchase of a significant interest in hospitality firm sbe [sic].

The deal includes a 50 percent interest in sbe, whose portfolio of hotel brands includes SLS, Delano, Mondrian, Katsuya and Cleo, among others.

AccorHotels’ global portfolio includes more than 4,500 hotels across the world, concentrated in Europe.

Part of the plan is to enhance Accor’s presence in new markets including Latin America and the Caribbean, where SBE has been expanding rapidly, most notably with the new SLS Baha Mar in The Bahamas.

SBE was represented by Pryor Cashman in the transaction.
