Saint Lucia’s Marigot Bay Resort Goes Independent

One of Saint Lucia’s leading resorts has gone independent.

The Marigot Bay Resort and Marina has announced that it is no longer associated with Capella Hotels and Resorts.

The newly-independent property has recently joined Preferred Hotels and Resorts’ LVX Collection.

It has also named a new team led by Perle Flavien, director of resort operations, to lead the property’s rebranding strategy.

“As one of the Caribbean’s top luxury resorts, our goal is simple…to provide the finest accommodations, the best service, and the most memorable experiences for our guests,” said Perle Flavien. “Current industry research clearly indicates that high-end independent hotels in the Caribbean region far outperform branded hospitality properties. This knowledge, combined with strong ownership involvement, our sales and marketing partners and dynamic onsite leadership team, will set us up for success as we look towards the future.”

The property, set on the beautiful Marigot Bay in Saint Lucia, has a total of 124 guest rooms, including 57 suites.

Another highlight is the property’s Rum Cave, a dedicated rum bar on the edge of the marina.
