VIDEO: The Legendary Bimini Big Game Club

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 3, 2018

History abounds here, an island where time itself comes in search of adventure.

It’s equal parts island and small town, blessed with remarkable natural beauty but not lacking in personality.

This is Bimini and the Bimini Big Game Club, one of the Caribbean’s truly legendary hotels.

The club first opened its doors in 1936, the brainchild of Nassau’s Neville Stuart, a haven for adventurers and big game fishermen and even, for a few days in 1968, the Bahamian home of Dr Marthin Luther King Jr (he stayed in Cottage Number 3).

Few places are more relaxing than the BBGC.

In the decades since it has remained a Mecca for sportfishermen, divers and those seeking a raw, unadulterated island experience, for the clearest water you’ll ever see.

Whether you’re in search of adventure, diving, fishing or one of the region’s more relaxing resorts, you’ll find it here.

Bimini has its own character, its own tempo, its own authenticity, a tiny stretch of sand in the Gulf Stream.

It’s a bucket list kind of place, one that exemplifies the beauty and wonder of the Out Islands of The Bahamas.

And the Big Game Club is its epicenter.
