Saint Lucia’s transformed Point Seraphine cruise pier has welcomed a major cruise ship.

Holland America Line’s MS Eurodam cruise ship made its inaugural call to Saint Lucia with about 2,000 passengers this week.

It was the first plaque exchange ceremony to take place on board a ship at the newly-extended Dolphin berth at Point Seraphine since it opened last month.

“Holland American Line has been regularly coming to Saint Lucia and I have been here many times on my other ships but we found out the Eurodam has never been here. So we are very happy to host this little ceremony to commemorate out first visit to your beautiful island.” said Captain Eric Barhorst.

Holland America has been serving Saint Lucia since the 1960s.
