Winners Announced of Saint Lucia Food and Rum People’s Choice Awards

A pair of Caribbean rums took the crown on Sunday at the Saint Lucia Food and Rum Festival’s People’s Choice Awards at Pigeon Island in Saint Lucia on Sunday.

Clifton Estate Rum from Nevis took home the People’s Choice Award in the Spiced Rum Category, while St Lucia’s 1931 Rum was chosen as Best Overall Rum.

The winners were selected by vote at the Caribbean Journal Rum Lounge held during the final event of the festival, a food and rum party at Pigeon Island headlined by R&B legend Freddie Jackson.

Attendees voted while visiting the Rum Lounge, which included rums from around the Caribbean and featured the winners of this weekend’s inaugural Caribbean Rum Awards.
