Cancun International Airport continues to see surging passenger growth, according to the latest numbers from Mexican parent company Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste.

Cancun’s airport reported 627,542 passengers in October, up from 563,824 passengers in October of 2016.

That represented an 11.3 percent increase year over year.

For the year to date, Cancun passenger traffic is up a whopping 15.2 percent, with a total of 6.47 million passengers, up from 5.611 in the same period last year.

That makes Cancun’s airport the fastest-growing airport in the wider Caribbean region.
