How to Shop in St Barth Right Now

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 13, 2016

It’s the most luxurious shopping destination in the Caribbean: St Barth, the French Caribbean island paradise home to boutiques from around the world.

But now there’s another way to shop in St Barth, courtesy of the island’s Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France hotel.

The property has launched a new “shopping concierge” program.

The program sees guests hop into a Cheval Blanc-branded Mini Moke, led by driver Udo.

Udo, who formerly owned an Hermes boutique in France, knows all of the store managers on the island, meaning he’ll pinpoint exactly what you’re looking for and make suggestions of where to go.

He’ll also collect all of your bags and purchases so you can stroll through Gustavia unimpeded.

The program concludes with a rejuvenating foot ritual at the hotel’s spa.

And now’s the best time to plan your trip, as the French government mandates sales twice a year, including this year from May 7 to June 22.
