By: - April 3rd, 2016

The British Virgin Islands’ Scrub Island Resort has named a new general manager.

Federico Ciampi has been appointed to the role, after having served most recently at the Manchester Marriott Victoria and Albert Hotel in Manchester, England.

He had previously served as the general manager at the Glasshouse Hotel, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel in Edinburgh.

The hotel has also named Scott Vogel as its new executive chef; Vogel comes to the property from IAT Consulting Group in St Petersburg, Fla.

“Both Federico and Scott have extensive experience in delivering the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction at high-end hotels and restaurants, and will make welcome additions to our executive team on island,” said Juli Corlew, Scrub Island Resort managing director.

The resort is located on a 230-acre private island in the BVI.
