A new focus on food

Oasis Hotels & Resorts has debuted six new restaurants at its Grand Oasis complex in Cancun this year, following a $30 million renovation project that placed significant focus on elevating its food and beverage options.

The brand’s renewed culinary focus began in 2013, when it partnered with one of the world’s top chefs, Rafael Zafra, to crease culinary experiences that would elevate the guest experience.

“At Oasis, we are very proud of being pioneers in Cancun’s all-inclusive market. It is that spirit of innovation that drives us to constantly look for ways to enhance the guest experience and stay relevant to a consumer base whose interests evolve continuously,” said Enrique Klein, Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Oasis Hotels & Resorts. “While we have made great investments to upgrade our resorts, our true differentiator, and that which will keep our guests returning year after year, will be our culinary program. We are offering experiences, menus and presentations that guests won’t find at any other resort in the destination.”

Oasis’ new offerings include: Red Circus, a dinner and show experience; Il Forno Dos Lunas, featuring Italian delicacies; The White Box Gastrobar, serving haute cuisine tapas-style in an informal atmosphere; Maki Tako, offering creative Japanese-Mexican fusion delights; and Maria Bonita, a gourmet Mexican dining experience in a traditional hacienda setting.

Chef Zafra’s other Cancun restaurants include Hacienda Benazuna at the Grand Oasis Sense, a molecular gastronomy restaurants where science meets haute cuisine, and The Black Hole at Grand Oasis Sens, where guests embark on a culinary adventure by enjoying their dining experience in complete darkness.
