Curaçao’s North Sea Jazz Festival has grown into one of the Caribbean’s leading music festivals.

Now, the island is looking to build on its success with another festival: the Curaçao International BlueSeas Festival.

The festival, which will be held May 7 to May 9, will focus on “traditional and gentrified jazz music,” according to organizers.

Already signed on for the inaugural edition of the festival this year are the Original Blues Brothers, Buddy Guy and Kat Riggins, among others.

“We’re excited to offer visitors even more opportunities to enjoy live music and performances on island, particularly within the jazz and blues realm,” said Hugo Clarinda, Deputy Director of the Curaçao Tourist Board. “Visitors will find the island’s vibrant lifestyle and intimate venues a perfect match to compliment the atmosphere of this new festival.”
