Like many NBA players, Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade used the recent All-Star break for a much-needed rest.

But unlike many NBA players, he spent his vacation in Haiti.

Wade and wife Gabrielle Union took the break to visit Haiti, joined by Wade’s Heat teammate and fellow superstar Chris Bosh and his wife, Adrienne Williams Bosh.

Wade was named to the All-Star team but was eventually replaced by Kyle Korver to rest.

The pair found time to visit with Haiti Minister of Tourism Stephanie Villedrouin during the trip.

Wade is no stranger to the Caribbean, which he visits frequently. Indeed, last year, Wade’s foundation announced a partnership with the Sandals Foundation.

The high-profile visit could prove to be a boost for the country’s burgeoning tourism efforts.
