Dominica’s government will begin work on “facelift” projects in the urban areas of Roseau and Portsmouth in early 2015, it said this week.

The island’s government signed a memorandum of understanding with the company undertaking the project, NSG Management and Technical Services Limited.

The first phase of the project will include upgrade and enhancement sub-projects to the road network, bridges, drainage, street lighting and landscaping, among other work.

That will follow a four-month traffic study.

The first proposal on the Roseau Master Plan was presented to stakeholders in May.
